Things people ask.
What’s the difference between a one-sided and a two-sided mattress?
A two-sided mattress is quilted and cushioned on both sides, so you can flip it as well as rotate it. Flipping spreads the wear across both faces, which is why a two-sided mattress lasts longer.
Do you still sell two-sided mattresses?
Yes. We’re the home of the two-sided mattress. Most big-box stores stopped carrying them years ago.
How is memory foam different from a mattress with coils?
A memory foam mattress is memory foam over a block of support foam. A coil mattress has layers of foam over an innerspring or a pocketed coil unit.
What are independently wrapped coils?
Traditional springs are tied together with spiral steel wire, so they move as one. Wrapped coils sit in their own fabric pockets and move separately. They follow your body more closely and pass along less motion when your partner turns over.
Why an adjustable base?
You can raise your head and feet to any angle to read, watch TV or sleep. People buy them for snoring, acid reflux, swollen legs and ankles, and back pain. Some models add massage and lumbar support.
Mattress pad or mattress protector?
A pad adds some cushion and usually isn’t waterproof. A protector is thin, doesn’t change how the mattress feels, and is waterproof. A protector also keeps your warranty safe.
Can you make a mattress for my camper, boat or antique bed?
Yes. That’s most of what we build. Measure what you have, or bring in the old mattress, and we’ll make one to fit, including cut corners, rounded corners and V-berths.
