Boat & V-berth mattresses

Cut to the shape of the hull.

No two V-berths are quite the same, and nothing off a store shelf fits one. We build boat mattresses to the shape of your berth: narrow at the bow, wide at the foot, with the sides following the hull.

What we build

Bow to stern.

  • V-berths

The bed in the bow, narrow at the head and wide at the foot, built to your berth’s exact angles.

  • Cabin bunks and quarter berths

Narrow, long and often angled at one end. We build to the measurements, not to the nearest standard size.

  • Curved sides

Where the berth follows the curve of the hull, we work from a template so the mattress follows it too.

Measuring

How to measure a V-berth.

  1. Three numbers

The width at the head (the narrow end), the width at the foot, and the length down the middle.

  2. Curves

If the sides curve, a straight measurement won’t catch it. Lay paper over the berth, trace the edge, and bring the template in.

  3. Hatches and fill-ins

Note any hatch, filler piece or step in the platform, and how the cushions lift today.
